Approach

Domain expertise compounds. So does patience.

GTEN's R&D function is small and deliberate. The programmes do not chase trends; they pursue durable problems where the answer is engineering, not marketing.

Each project is led by a senior practitioner with operating experience in the relevant domain — RF systems, instrument-rated aviation, native iOS engineering. We do not staff with juniors and we do not contract-out the core.

The work is funded by the holding. There is no external capital, no roadmap pressure, no demo-day cadence. Releases happen when they are ready and not before.

Where research matures into a stand-alone business, we either spin it into its own pillar or licence the technology. Where it remains internal, it strengthens the operating businesses around it.

Programmes

Three projects under research.

R.01Long-range radio communicationsResilient, low-bandwidth voice and data links for remote operations. Targets aviation, maritime and expeditionary use. Prototype on the bench.
R.02Cockpit landing assistance systemIFR approach discipline brought into the VFR cockpit — stabilised gates, glide path and stabilised-approach criteria, fused from GPS and visual telemetry on aircraft without certified instrument hardware. In simulator integration.
R.03Social engagement (iOS)A native iOS application that turns shared interests into structured, scheduled meet-ups. Privacy-default, anti-feed. In closed beta with a small cohort.
